Miss AJRA

Dear Members, Family and Friends of the AJRA,

Hi! My name is, Madison Bean, and I am so excited to be your 2019 Miss AJRA.  I am 16 years old and will be competing in my first year of the 16-19 age group.  I live in Clint, Texas and I am currently a sophomore homeschooled student.

The AJRA is very special to me for many reasons.  My dad and his siblings competed in the AJRA rodeos, my aunt was Miss AJRA in 1991 (Jana Bean), and my cousin (Jim Breck Bean) was a long-time member.

I competed in my very first AJRA rodeo when I was 5 years old in Van Horn, Texas and I won my first saddle with the AJRA’s.  I have so many great memories because of this organization.

I compete in barrel racing, breakaway roping, and pole bending.  My favorite event is barrel racing! I served as the 2017 barrel racing director with the AJRA and I’m currently serving as the barrel racing director for THSRA Region 2.  I would like to continue barrel racing and breakaway roping through college and hopefully make a run for the WNRF in Las Vegas.

I was so honored to receive the position of Miss AJRA.  I hope to be a good influence on our younger generation of competitors and be an active voice amongst our current directors.  My goal this year is to spread the word about the AJRA’s through various social media outlets in hopes that we can continue to build one of the nation’s largest youth rodeo organizations.  I am so excited to begin a new year with all our members!

Blessings,

Madison Bean
