2017 AJRA President

Howdy! It is my pleasure to serve as your 2017 AJRA President.

My name is Cullen Eppright from Cost, Texas. This is my 4th year as an AJRA member. I am a past AJRA World Champion and fortunate enough to have been awarded the Roy Cooper Award in 2015. Growing up and working on a ranch, I have always had a strong appreciation for the western heritage and a strong love of rodeo. I also currently serve as the National High School Rodeo Association Student President, Lonestar District FFA President, and Gonzales FFA Vice President. I have previously served as the Texas High School Rodeo Association Student President (2015-16), NHSRA Jr. High Division Student President (2013-14), and Texas Junior High Rodeo Association Student President (2013-14) & Student Vice President (2012-13). I am a junior at Gonzales High School, where I am involved with FFA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society), and Future Scientists. After high school, I plan to attend Texas A&M University majoring in Agribusiness while also being a member of the Corps of Cadets. While I am not busy with my studies, leadership roles, or rodeo activities, I am either working out at the CrossFit box, fishing, or alligator hunting.

I would like to wish every contestant good luck this rodeo season. While not all of us can take home the World Championship saddle at the end of the year, if we learn something, it makes all the time we put in worthwhile. There are many exciting things planned this year for all our members. Please continue to check back on the website for announcements. I have learned many things through my leadership roles and want to be a voice and an ear for all members, if you have a concern or an idea, please let one of the student officers know as we want to represent you - the student members. I wish everyone the best of luck this rodeo season.

Sincerely,
Cullen Eppright
AJRA President 2017
